What brought me to where I am today
I had a major back wipe-out, was in agony and could hardly move. It could not have come at a more inconvenient time but then these things never do. I wanted to understand more and was very lucky to be able to study physical, mental and emotional health including pain relief specialising in the spine, cancer, hormonal health and the immune system.
I believe that a holistic approach really does have an answer for everything, even facial rejuvenation, hearing and eyesight, conquering fears, defining goals, giving clarity and perspective.
How long have I been doing what I do
I have been a holistic therapist for the last ten years, running training with support and mentoring programmes. Our spine connects us from head to toe and as Socrates identified all those years ago, our health links to our spine.
Who are my clients?
Everyone who comes to me is individual.
Their common goal is to be their best, free from pain, using their own personalised code for health, happiness and success, naturally. These are lifelong, individual strategies using simple, safe and very accessible techniques to be the best you in whatever you do, wherever you are. Take control of pain and stiffness and learn to be your own practitioner.
The people I work with recognise that their physical health is linked to their mental and emotional health and vice versa. They are willing to commit to investing in themselves. They get a physical, mental and emotional lifelong toolkit beyond the fix of their practitioner.
What makes me different from other holistic therapists?
I work with a number of disciplines, at times to suit you. You learn how to create your own personalised code for optimal health, pain relief, happiness and success, naturally. Our body and mind will always naturally strive to find balance. We start with where you are. We identify areas for support and work with step-by-step guided options that suit you using a wide range of methodologies and fine-tuning these to fit you for lasting pain relief and protection against stiffness or future injury with a physical, mental and emotional lifelong toolkit beyond the fix of your practitioner.
I love to see that ‘aha’ moment when someone who recognises and commits to their holistic health, sees positive results showing up in their health, happiness and success. Their life starts to function more smoothly, their health improves, work improves, their goals are clearer, their relationships improve, they set goals and achieve them, they operate calmly with a clear perspective. Every aspect of their life starts to improve.
I specialise in the spine, supporting back health for everyday life, sporting injuries, general lower back, neck, shoulders, hips, knees and ankles. I also offer therapy for arthritis, scoliosis, sciatica, herniated disc, pinched nerve, osteoporosis, pregnancy and post-natal lower back health. I run classes and training workshops in the local community and have been teaching ten years. I’m a senior yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals, a British Wheel of Yoga teacher and certified trainer, CNHC registered and BCYT accredited. I am also a registered teacher of the Lower Healthy Backs Programme.
Use it or lose it applies as much to the body as to the mind for optimal health. Anyone can do yoga. Even lying in bed!
